Must Have Mixtape 5: Ahser Roth - Seared Foie Gras w/ Quince & Cranberry

The unique and unconventional title sets the tone for the rest of the mixtape. Forget "I Love College", this mixtape sound absolutely nothing like it. Asher Roth puts words together in a mind bending way while speaking on simple things like getting stoned, being lazy, playing laser tag and a whole bunch of other random shit. The standouts of the tape are "Im Eddy", in which Asher talks about growing up and maturing and "Fuck the Money", which features B.O.B. There are a lot of original production on the tape, but Asher does use a Little Brother instrumental "Vagitables" and Cam'rons "Down and Out" beat for "Con-fid-ence". The tape is made up of fun filled and heartfelt tracks, but Asher Roth manages to slip in a message or two into his songs like "You give me shit when i blaze my trees/ but prescribe pills to kids with ADD".
