Dank of America's 10 Baddes MF's In The NBA (2000 to present)

I'm writing this with a cut tendon in my left (dominant hand) thumb.
We always see NBA players in the news. If it's not something about Lebron's "decision", its either about and old school player going broke, or some criminal controversy surrounding a current player. So here is a countdown of this decades most controversial NBA players.

10) Josh Howard

For clarifying to everyone that NBA players do smoke weed. Although this was blown out of proportion, it also made him relative outside of the NBA.

9) Shaq

Many people consider Shaq to be the nicest guy in the NBA. That may be true, but nobody can be a saint all the time. He is not afraid to say whatever is on his mind during interviews, which is why i respect him. Here's a video of him cursing up a storm on national TV.

Reporter: "Shaq we're on national television'

Shaq: "I don't give a shit"

8) Chris "Birdman" Andersen

Although he's been portrayed as the "rising phoenix" by sports reporters, he DID get suspended for doing coke (what else could it be?). I'm really glad to see this guy doing well for himself and for his team, but whenever I him blocking a shot or dunking, I picture him doing lines right before game time.

7) Rasheed Wallace

Dude leads the league in technicals (how the hell do you receive 41 in a season). However, that's not necessarily a bad thing. Stats show that Sheed plays better after receiving a technical foul. This guy speaks his mind no matter what, and no coach has been able to get him to calm down, not even Doc Rivers (or KG). Here's a video of him cursing at the refs and not getting called for it.

6) Bruce Bowen

This guy plays dirty defence. He will do anything and everything to keep you from scoring. He has injured multiple player with his style of play (Steve Francis, Nash). Remember when he threw Nash towards the stands during the Western Conference finals and tipped the scales of the series?

5) Allen Iverson

AI has always been known as NBA's bad boy due to his mass appeal and off court actions. The NBA constantly rode him about tarnishing the league's image. That never concerned Iverson considering the fact that there was a time where it looked like he would never make it to the pros. During his teenage years, Iverson went to jail for supposedly being involved in a racial brawl at a bowling alley. The governor or Virginia pardoned Iverson, which allowed him go to college and eventually the NBA.
Allen also had some legal troubles during his years in the league. He was arrested for possession of marijuana and a concealed weapon, as well a battery. Recently, Iverson's gambling and alcohol addiction came to light, which contributed to the demise of his career.

4) J.R. Smith

Not a lot of people know this, but J.R. Smith killed a person. It was not intentional, but he was responsible for the death of his friend Andre Bell, who died from head injuries due to a car crash that was caused by Smith. J.R. served 30 days in jail for the incident. He also had multiple traffic accident prior the incident. Needless to say, J.R. doesn't drive as well as he shoots. Also, there has been controversy about J.R. posting twitter messages that contained gang style writing, which caused him to delete his account.

3) Ron Artest

He has cleaned up his act considerably during these past few years, but back in the day, Ron Artest was the baddest dude in the league. He would flip off the crowd during a game and curse everyone out. He was also suspended for the length of a full season for causing the "malice at the palace".

2) Eddy Curry

This guy has played less minutes for the Knicks than Stephon Marbury, but that is not why he is on the list. There is an ongoing controversy surrounding Curry which involves a racial and a sexual harassment lawsuit. Here is an exert from wikipedia that describes the situation
"On January 12, 2009, Curry was sued by his former chauffeur, David Kuchinsky. Kuchinsky accused Curry of trying to solicit gay sex from him. According to court papers, Curry repeatedly approached Kuchinsky 'in the nude,' saying, 'Look at me, Dave, look' and, 'Come and touch it, Dave.' The Manhattan federal court suit also stated that Curry made Kuchinsky perform 'humiliating tasks outside the scope of his employment, such as cleaning up and removing dirty towels [into which Curry had ejaculated] so that his wife would not see them.' Kuchinsky also said Curry called him racial slurs, including fucking Jew, 'cracker,' 'white slave,' 'white devil' and 'grandmaster of the KKK'. " - Wikipedia

Gross...

1) Gilbert Arenas

Not only did he keep guns in his lockeroom, he actually pointed a weapon on one of his teammates. Also, he imitated the gesture of shooting guns during a pre game ceremony. Needless to say, not the smartest way to act. With John Wall on the team, I hope he shoots less and passes more this season.

Honorable mention

Delonte West

For nailing Lebron's mom.
